Goal Planning and Achievement Through
Relaxation.
The Importance of Focus and Relaxation
in Goal Achievement.
We all long for that feeling when we are “In the
zone”, when we can do no wrong and when we reach our
goals and achieve our dreams effortlessly. Most of us
long for that state in order to achieve our goals and yet
for too many it seems unobtainable.
There are many tools available for setting
goals, which is all well and good... however achieving
them is a different story. It is worth taking into
consideration that the right state of mind is absolutely
crucial in order to attain our goals with
ease.
This article is about one of the simplest little
steps which can start to make a difference right for
anyone who tries it, and I strongly urge you to read the
advice given and take notice because only a fool would
ignore it...
Relaxation is one of the most overlooked tools
we have in order to learn and create “body memory” or
performing something perfectly, perhaps because there is
a popular misconception that in order to concentrate on
something we must work hard... and nothing could be (or
should be) further from the truth. Maybe you have heard
of the saying “Mental effort defeats
itself...”
This can be explained simply and quickly by
thinking about the conscious and subconscious mind. The
subconscious mind is capable of coping with an amazing
array of task at the same time, at lightening speed and
without any conscious effort at all.
The conscious mind can only really concentrate
on a single activity at a time... Therefore, when we try
hard to concentrate we engage the conscious mind and tend
to struggle, which in turn creates tension and makes it
harder to concentrate and so we try harder to concentrate
and so on...
This also has a negative effect by associating
negative feelings with your activity.
Relaxation allows us to utilise the subconscious
mind to a greater degree and therefore benefit in many
ways...
When we relax we associate good feelings to
learning...
When we relax we allow the tiny little
electrical signals of the muscles and nerves to “do their
thing” to help our body memory...
When we relax we allow access to the
subconscious mind in order to teach it exactly how to
re-create a successful outcome to achieve our goals and
make sure that we exceed our expectations...
The act of relaxation also opens up fresh
understandings as new neural networks are created while
the subconscious looks at fresh perspectives and new ways
of exploring possibilities...
Everyone wants to effectively set goals and
(hopefully) achieve them but not everyone believes that
they can easily relax, probably due to modern stressful
lifestyles, however this is simply not true.
Once you learn to relax correctly, not only will
you have a wonderful tool for achieving success through
personal goal planning, you will also have a tool which
is beneficial for your health and well being.
Among the many useful ways of using relaxation
to achieve goals and perfect your practice are hypnosis,
anchoring and progressive relaxation. The Practice
Secrets Revealed Relaxation and Anchoring Audio utilises
all of these to great effect and is included as part of
the http://www.practicesecretsrevealed.com
package. You can also check out my other

anchoring.
